Once Saved always saved
Is once saved always saved true? Yes! For salvation today, when you get saved, you're saved forever. Salvation is a one-time event, and it's okay if you don't remember the exact date you got saved; as long as it happened is all that matters. Some key verses on this topic include Ephesians 4:30, which says, "And grieve not the holy spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." and Ephesians 1:13, which says, "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise."
In addition to Romans 8:38-39 which says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
These verses clearly show that you are sealed with the holy Spirit when you are saved and that it cannot leave. These are just a few examples, but we are under Paul's ministry for salvation today, and Paul certainly preached eternal security.
Side note: It is possible for a Christian to grieve the holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30), and it is also possible for a Christian to be carnal (1 Corinthians 3:1-3); it doesn’t mean that they should, but it is possible. All in all, when you are saved, the holy Spirit can never leave; therefore, salvation cannot be lost, and there are several verses in the Bible that prove this.
For salvation today in this dispensation (Church Age), when you are saved, you are eternally secure in Christ.
