Why is the blood of Christ so essential to salvation?
The blood shed by Jesus Christ on the cross is absolutely essential for salvation! The Bible talks about how God demands a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, and Jesus was that blood sacrifice for us on the cross.
It is through the finished work of Christ (His death, burial, and resurrection), the blood of Christ, that we find forgiveness of all past, present, and future sins, which is a blessing! (Colossians 1:14). There is power in the blood of Christ, and some great verses regarding faith in the blood for salvation are Romans 3:25, 5:9, 5:11, Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14, and more.
